What inspires me to create? Why do I make art?

- Because it is another way for me to express the things I feel unable to say in words that I can say with color or movement (dance) .

- To heal to bring understanding to extend the good moments of clarity and understanding, to give a part of me to someone else to touch others and help them say what cannot be said.

- To provide a forum in my life for talking about these things. To get to the heart of a subject.

- I love painting faces because I have seen so many beautiful people both inside and out and I want to remember them and make them a part of me and carry that beauty with me.

- I hope my work says "You are beautiful", to the person looking at it or the person receiving it as a gift.

- Creating gives me a way to reflect the beauty I feel and see and stop time for a moment, it also allows me to bookmark time.

- I am inspired by the way creating and painting and drawing allows me to explore or to get a perspective on a topic, a feeling, an experience. Sometimes if I play if out on the page, paper, canvas, or in a dance, I do not have to play it out over and over through other people or events, against my will.

- I am inspired by the old, and the new but mostly by love. I am inspired by the love I have for life and by the people I love. I am also inspired by their love for me.
